With 13 (yes thirteen) Twilight Trail Rides scheduled for hte 2010/11 summer season it is going to be a ripper daylight savings time:

The Twilight Rides start at 1 pm (you can start anytime you like after 1 pm) and go through to dark)). 

All the Twilight Rides are at Maramarua Forest (signposted from SH2 at Kopuku near Maramrua township (between the Maramarua Golf Club and the Red Fox Tavern)

Remember that for the $40 you get a Gourmet Burger and soft drink (extra burger and drink for $5 for those who are excessively hungry)

So pull a sickie, turn off the cellphone and head to Maramarua for the afternoons riding.

Only 1 hour from Auckland Central

Only 50 Min from Hamilton Central

Only 1 Hour 15 Min from Tauranga Central

You get as much riding as you like from 1 pm

The tracks are dependant on forestry operations but you will get at least 35km of trails.

They will be a mixture of yellow and red (Intermediate and Expert) trails and when dry actually very easy.   From the end of October, Fire Extinghishers will be compulsory.

The Gourmet Burgers start from about 5:30 pm through til 7:30 pm  If you are late for dinner you will miss out or get a cold bun and salad so think about what time you will come back from the loops.

This is primarily an Adult event with no concessions for kids at all.  NoKids track unless notified (two events will have kids tracks) and no cheap prices for kids.

Everyone is welcome and as a benefit you get to try the M3DE trails before the Enduro.

Only an Hour from Auckland. Yep it takes me 1 hour and 15 minutes from Albany on the shore.  All sealed road to the car park.  No bouncing around or dusty mess.  Easy and fun.
