SCOTT 6 Hour

Saturday 3rd March 2018

Sponsors include:

Scott Goggles and Clothing , DRD Magazine, Castrol Oil products, Honda

Burts Farm, Mimiha Rd, Matata

For 2017 we have ramped up the race to make it appealing to more XC racers throughout the country.  We have incorporated not only the Scott 6 Hr, we have also introduced a new Scott 3 Hr format to be run in conjunction with the Scott 6 Hr.

How it work:   6 Hr racers line up and start at 9 am sharp and ride the 6 Hr race as per normal tackling the fantastic terrain and marked out track prepared by the Burt Brothers and the Pratt Brothers.  The course has proved very popular with the racers covering open fast, slow bush and all between. Usually around 20 - 25km in length, the racers will complete between 8 and 12 laps depending on their ability.

The 3 Hr Race will start at 12 Midday sharp (no waiting for this one) and feed seamlessly into the 6 Hr course after a short ride round some paddocks to disperse the riders into single file. The 3 Hr racers will compete for the entire 3 Hrs finishing the same time as the 6 Hr racers.

This means we can have the trophy presentation and meal at the same time.
